The 2021 Arnold Classic took place September 25th, in Columbus, Ohio. This is the results of this contest, one of the biggest bodybuilding events of the year.
Every year, the Arnold Classic is the second biggest bodybuilding contest of the year, only to the Olympia. This year, due to some scheduling conflicts from the global pandemic, the Arnold is taking place just two weeks before the Mr. O goes down in Florida.
The cutoff window for athletes to qualify for the Olympia was earlier the month, which means that the winners of this year’s Arnold and the points earned for other athlete placings, go towards qualifying for the 2022 Olympia. The only exception to that is the winner of the Men’s Open, who will be invited to compete if Florida two weeks later, if they are not already.
Because of these high stakes and how close it is to the Olympia, the 2021 Arnold Classic lineup was shaping up to be one of the best and most staked in the contest’s history. Unfortunately the exciting roster took a few blows in the lead up to the event.
First it was Cedric McMillan who pulled out due to lingering issues from an injury he suffered, before Lionel Beyeke had to pull out over travel issues. Then just a few days before it went down, Roelly Winklaar withdrew to seemingly focus on his Olympia prep, and reigning Arnold champ William Bonac also had travel issues forcing him out.
Nevertheless, the 2021 Arnold Classic continued on with fans still excited to see who would come out on top. Below you will find the results from this contest.
